second monitor.
General Issues
Issue: You receive an error that you can't connect to the server.

access the internet. Make sure that TCP traffic is not currently being
blocked by a firewall or some other software.
Issue: The patcher cannot connect or has problems downloading patch
files.
Solution: Similar to the above problem, double-check your internet
connection. The patch tool uses HTTP so make sure that HTTP is not being
blocked on your system.
Issue: Running the patch tool, and it downloads files but can't move /
replace existing files.
Solution: Make sure that you are running the patch program as an
administrator on later Windows versions (Vista and up).
Video Issues
Issue: You receive an error about the renderer backend when running the
game in Direct3D mode.
Solution: This error indicates that your system doesn't have the correct
version of DirectX installed. Please install at least DirectX 5.0 or run
the game in OpenGL mode on Windows NT.
Issue: When running the game you get an error message box or the game
fails to enter fullscreen mode.
Solution: Try running the game in fullscreen OpenGL mode, make sure the
selected resolution matches your desktop resolution.
Issue: The game colors do not appear correct or the geometry appears
distorted in OpenGL mode.
Solution: Some vendors shipped OpenGL drivers that had issues initially,
make sure that you are running the latest reference drivers on your
system.
Issue: Running the game in Windowed mode produces an error or the game
crashes when you adjust the window.
Solution: Your graphics drivers are outdated or your video card doesn't
correctly support windowed mode. Try updating to the latest reference
drivers or run the game in fullscreen mode.
Issue: The game doesn't start in windowed mode when using the Glide
backend.
Solution: Glide mode doesn't currently support windowed rendering as
not all Voodoo cards support it.
Issue: Everything renders correctly but the game is very sluggish.
Solution: Likely you are rendering in Direct3D or OpenGL software mode
with hardware acceleration disabled. Try installing the latest reference
drivers for your video card to resolve the problem.
